Al Rio was a prolific comic book artist from Fortaleza, Brazil. He worked for major publishers like Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, Top Cow, Chaos and Zenescope Entertainment.
His death was a tragic shock to his fans and followers. This site is kept in his memory of his great works and to raise money for his family in Brazil.

This was our very first Kickstarter to raise money for Al Rio’s family after his death. Al Rio tarted a series of art books whose sales directly benefit Al Rio’s family in Brazil.

We kept with the 80-page hardcover format to raise money for Al Rio’s family again. A combination of user backing and original art sales put this one over the top and made it a success.

 Another 80-page hardcover! As the years started fading away, the memory of Al Rio has not faded. Thanks to many individual fans + a some big backers this was another huge success.
